Building Department

The Sudbury Building Department is responsible for issuing all building, electrical, plumbing and gas permits. The Building Inspector is also the Zoning Enforcement Officer for the town.

Building Permits are required for all construction that is not an ordinary repair as defined by the latest edition of the Massachusetts State Building Code.  For more information regarding building permit requirements, go to www.mass.gov/bbrs/code.htm.

Solicitation to provide and install fire suppresion system for the Town Hall Vaults

The solicitation, Scope of Work, and contract documents are available January 18, 2012 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Building Department, 275 Old Lancaster Road, Sudbury.  A mandatory site visit is required.  Responses, including price and other required information, are due at that office by 3 p.m. on February 3, 2012.  The work, estimated at $21,000, is expected to commence upon contract signing and be completed by May 31, 2012, unless otherwise agreed.  Minimum wage rates have been set for the project.  OSHA training is required.  For information, contact the Building Department Office at 978-443-2209 ext. 1361.
